Spring Skiing is the best of both worlds – it is warmer and the snow is soft!
Once the temperature gets above 32 degrees the snow gets soft. On the first warm day the snow may get sticky, but just wait one day and that all changes. If the temperature drops below freezing the following night, corn snow starts to form. Corn snow is not sticky, but it is fun to ski on because it’s fast, not icy, and can be soft. The sunny slopes may get a little heavy during the day, but corn snow is still faster than sticky fresh snow.
