Interesting summer with  lots of light wind days. Thanks to my new Naish and Bic foils I have been able to lower my planing wind to 8 knots. The foils make the windsurfers very efficient. Some say its like losing over 50 lbs. And eliminating the bouncing over the chop, has really smoothed out the ride. The smaller sail sizes are lighter and and easier to handle. The carbon foils are only 7 lbs which makes them lighter to carry and quicker to plan. The aluminum foils with aluminum, fiber glass or carbon wings are less expensive and quit durable. Foiling is here to stay. And once you try it and lift off the first time you will be hooked.
