This ‘wide-body’ generation board, developed from the Techno Formula shape, was conceived to make it possible to learn to windsurf in just a few hours and get some real adrenaline from your very first runs. Very stable and easy to ride, the Nova isn’t just a beginner board, it’s lightweight and lively under your feet. If you fit a big fin and a maxi sail it transforms into a high performance competition board. That means you can use the same board to learn, progress and hit top speeds in light winds. That’s the difference between the Nova and other wide, high-volume “beginner” boards which show their limits when you try to switch on for some pure funboard.

The Techno 283 and 293 from the Classic range are aimed at a wide market of riders looking for a reliable, good value funboard board. These boards, originally designed around 2000 for freeride racing, are a very easy ride. Their versatility and ability to perform in all kinds of conditions has been rewarded with selection at international level for One Design junior competitions. The “Classic” version uses a less refined thermoformed construction technique and good quality but less expensive fittings to give the best price possible.
The Techno 293 Classic comes with a daggerboard and is suitable for complete beginners as well as more advanced funboard riding and light wind sailing.

Through the close co-operation with our partner CLUB MISTRAL, holding courses in the most different locations and conditions, we gained lots of experience concerning the development of beginner equipment. Intensive testing has proven that extremely wide and short shapes are less stable over the width-axis, due to thinner rails, whilst the shorter length is remarkably less stable over the length-axis when stepping around the mast base. Furthermore at 20 knots plus they become difficult to control.

That’s why we developed a new, more balanced outline concept with the correct ratio width to length; wider than old-school beginner boards but not as short and wide as extreme Wide-Bodies. So we could improve stability and upwind pointing in non-planning conditions and still maintain control in winds over 20 plus knots! The new outline and clever volume distribution work together, to ensure a perfect amount of lift. No matter where you stand on the board, it is always perfectly stable and balanced. The fully removable dagger board facilitates rig-steering maneuvers, supports the stability and also improves pointing abilities. The N.TRANCE is built in an absolute ding resistant High Resistant Skin technology and features an EVA soft to offer maximum comfort and to avoid any injuries.

Madd means twin fins. Why? It's really rather simple. The twin fins are very high aspect fins meaning they have a narrow chord. This means you have less drag, resulting in more speed and more fun. Because you have two fins, you have the same area as a large deep fin without the control problem -- more fun, faster because you have more control.

New for 2005: The Madd 90, an extremely agile and all round board with huge range of use. Depending on the weight and the ability of the surfer, planning fun really begins in middle wind range and ends only where you want to put the limit.

The MADD 90 is not only suitable as a strong wind board, but also for freestyling and use in moderate waves. Its only 23 cm long twinser fins and the narrow stern allow you any time a perfect board control, even in overpowered conditions and radical jibes.
